Why BSN

Expand how you contribute as a nurse

You’ve already built your foundation as a registered nurse. A BSN helps you prepare for broader responsibilities in nursing leadership and management, while strengthening your skills in research, evidence-based practice, and community-focused care.

It can also prepare you for roles in nursing education and provide a pathway to graduate-level nursing education.

After Graduation

Complete your bachelor's degree

The program advances your nursing education while building on the RN degree and licensure you have already completed.

After completing the program, you will earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Because the RN-to-BSN program is designed for nurses who already hold an RN license, it does not lead to a new nursing license or require an additional NCLEX examination.

Your BSN can strengthen your preparation for broader responsibilities in professional nursing practice and provide the academic foundation commonly needed for graduate nursing education. Employment and graduate-program requirements vary by employer and institution.
