After completing the program, you will earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Because the RN-to-BSN program is designed for nurses who already hold an RN license, it does not lead to a new nursing license or require an additional NCLEX examination.
Your BSN can strengthen your preparation for broader responsibilities in professional nursing practice and provide the academic foundation commonly needed for graduate nursing education. Employment and graduate-program requirements vary by employer and institution.

Admissions
What you need to apply
The RN-to-BSN program is designed for registered nurses who have already completed an approved nursing program. Contact admissions to confirm current deadlines, transfer-credit policies, and documentation requirements.
Registered nursing degree
Hold an associate degree or nursing diploma from an approved registered nursing program.
Active RN license
Provide documentation of an active, unencumbered registered nursing license.
Transferable college credit
Have a minimum of 60 approved transfer credits, including at least 20 general education credits.
Official college transcripts
Submit official transcripts from your registered nursing program and any other colleges you attended for transfer-credit evaluation.
Application and admissions review
Submit your completed application and requested supporting materials for review by the admissions team.
Before the final practicum
Identify your practicum site and preceptor
Students are responsible for identifying an appropriate site and preceptor for the final 45-hour BSN practicum. Stepful College provides the practicum requirements and site-support documentation. Students must also complete the required background and drug screening and meet any additional requirements established by the practicum site.

Tuition is charged per credit for the 60-credit completion curriculum. Additional expenses may include textbooks, technology, screening, administrative fees, and practicum requirements. Financial aid, scholarships, and payment options may be available to eligible students.
